Rock luminaries, Dj Ashba (guitar), James Michael (vocals) and Nikki Sixx (bass), collectively known as SIXX:A.M, has revealed the details of Prayers for the Damned Vol. 1 , the first of the band's two forthcoming companion albums. The 11-song collection, featuring the lead single "Rise," will be released April 29.

“Sixx: A.M. is in the most creative place of our careers,” says bassist Nikki Sixx. “For James, DJ and myself, we think it’s the perfect time to release so much quality music to our fans who’ve been supporting us over the last three albums.” Michael agrees, “The double-albums will leave no stone unturned in our quest to create important music and push the boundaries of rock.” Ashba concludes, “We are on a mission to give our fans even more than they could have hoped for, both musically and visually.”

The first volume of Prayers for the Damned will be available to pre-order on iTunes and all digital retailers on March 4, coinciding with the release of the “Rise” lyric video.

Though the band has already been announced for a number of festivals this spring, the group filled in the blanks on their tour itinerary, revealing a full-on tour schedule that launches at the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Jacksonville, Fla., on April 30 and continues in the U.S. through the end of May before crossing the pond for a European leg during the month of June.
