It sounds like the drums are actually overdubbed... The part from first 4 bars is played all the time too... still it sounds ok on the record. I used 2 bass drums to make it more like actual thing but as I said - to me it sounds like overdub. The bass-acting synth uses low B sound not E like in other versions :]. Really nice stuff o.o!
