Ex. 1 - Do you remember what are we calling 
syncopation? 

"Syncopation is the wonderful effect 
which is created when notes which are supposed to fall 
in a certain place surprise the ear and fall somewhere 
else." 

In other words:

" When a note which falls between beats is accented 
and held over the following beat, the natural pulse is 
disturbed - this is the syncopation"

Look at this example (I've marked syncopation 
with ">").

Ex. 2 - This is another kind of syncopation. I've marked 
it with ">". 

Song 7 - Hmmm... Almost every riff in this song 
is using the syncopation that I have shown you in 
Example 2. Practice :) This is a short lesson but 
remember about it when you'll try to write your own 
music! And sorry for not describing more of this topic - 
you just have to understand it on your own - language 
problems...
