The library of the Benedictine monastery in Kremsmiunster, Austria, contains a valuable collection of manuscript lute books of the 17th amd 18th cemturies. Many of the works are anonymous. This minuet was chosen for its pleasing balance of the melodic and broken styles of composition. The lyrical opening suggests a moderate tempo.
