Tuning: standard tuning on a bartone guitar for the rhthym. The solo was played in the studio on a six string guitar. It is played live on a seven string guitar. I have added a six string guitar for the solo and for a "fake" way to get by if you don't have a 7 string guitar. The notes on the riff are correct, just an octave higher. The rhthym guitar chords are an approximation on how best to play it without 7 strings. Collective Soul has three guitarists but on this song they play it with only two guitarist live.
