此歌为列侬所写，灵感来自一篇报纸文章，文章写了一个守财奴怕别人逼他花钱而把钱到处藏，另一个灵感来自“塑料袋女士”，一天列侬看到在爵士桥附近的海德公园里的一个女人，她把所有的财产都装在一个塑料袋里睡在公园。
