I really like this song. The rhythm work (I have a feeling that Ace's contribution was the main riff, and we all know that Gene
 supplied the interlude riff) is sparse but effective. The usual division of labor here: the guitars play slightly different fo
rms of the various figures. The muted part in the chorus is played very softly so that it doesn't interfere witht he horns and 
organ.

The guitar solo, oddly enough played over the interlude riff but in 7/4 meter, has a few standard Ace moves. Note the
 end of the solo which Ace would later duplicate (but using 6ths) for the ending of the solo in Love 'em and leave 'em.Nothing 
to this bass performance. The verse part is basically an octave ostinato with a little minor pentatonic move; the chorus a simp
le root-5th pattern (albeit with a very cool slide up to the 14th fret); and the 7/4 riff is nothing difficult. The bass does i
ts job as an anchor well here.
