long gone are the days of protest • long gone are the days that taught me to think • i carry on the true spirit • i hold traditions in my every belief • you’ve got nothing in your head • just the living dead, no views, no beliefs • you’ve got nothing in your head • i need you to light the fuse • no rules, no peace • i wanna hear an anti-racist truth • i wanna hear you say “don’t talk to police” • middle finger to their laws • are we still the enemy to society? • you’ve got nothing in your head • just the living dead, no views, no beliefs • you’ve got nothing in your head • i need you to light the fuse • no rules, no peace • keep telling me that life is hard • i’ve heard it before and wonder if yours was • keep telling me how much this means • but how can it be when you don’t even see • you don’t see • i carry on the true spirit • i hold traditions in my every belief • you’ve got nothing in your head • just the living dead, no views, no beliefs • you’ve got nothing in your head • i need you to light the fuse • no rules, no peace • no rules, no peace • no rules, no peace • you’ve got nothing in your head • live your life fast • no rules, no peace

Sweden HC in 2012. Book distros. Kids selling zines and handing out flyers. Lots of X'd up hands. No alcohol in venues that only serve vegan food. All these things aren't part of my lifestyle but I respect the hell out of this vibe. I remember going to shows in the early 90's in Syracuse. These arguments/debates would break out in the crowd in between bands, mostly about Hardline. After a while I thought it was annoying. Now I'd be so fucking excited to see HC kids so fired up by their convictions, 'cause it seems like nowadays no one is saying a fucking thing.
