The powerchord onslaught of this proto-metal band wouldn't be so bad if not for the hackneyed lyrics. Over and over the tired saw about "rejecting everything your parents did" is repeated with snarling but oddly unaffecting delivery. Rather than say anything in particular, the band only tries to scare parents and disassociate their children. But instead of exploiting a political stance, like Rage Against the Machine, Amen just gripes.
