This strong set has a hardy rhythm section and good range of soft-rock and pop ballads well suited for Cher's vocals. It also brought her out of an outdated style into modern music using the production skills of Olivia Newton-John's producer, John Farrar. The girl-group-styled "Rudy" and piano ballad "When the Love is Gone" stand out.
