Again featuring Samael's Xy on keyboards (he also produced the record), Rotting Christ continues to move in a darker, more controlled and Gothic direction on Sleep of Angels. It's perhaps a shade less effective than Dead Poem, with less variety in tempo, but the songs flow together well, making it a fine, worthy follow-up.
