Miss Fortune was created by members of previously signed bands from all over the United States.

Their musical direction was spawned between Mikey Sawyer and the rest of the band after his departure from Close Your Eyes (Victory Records).

After releasing just one song, Miss Fortune signed their first record deal and recorded their debut full-length with Kris Crummett.
