The album was released by Indie Recordings and is licensed to Nuclear Blast for
the following territories:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the rest of the world outside Europe (except
Australia and Russia).
The digipack release includes a DVD featuring a "making of" documentary,
interviews, and live clips. A box set edition limited to 500 copies included the
digipack and a necklace.
The necklace featured with the limited box set of "Kolossus" is a pendant on a
black string. The pendant is a 1-1 replica of the claw that's seen on the cover
of the album.
Obsidian Claw took the inspiration for the cover artwork from the game The Elder
Scrolls IV: Oblivion. There's a clear similarity to the covers of both things.
The Kolossus cover has similar colours as the oblivion game cover had. Obsidian
got the claw for this cover by creating several icons and taking inspiration
from the Oblivion logo.
