The wait for D’Angelo’s new studio album is over: Black Messiah, the long-awaited follow-up to 2000’s Voodoo, is now available.

Black Messiah spans 12 tracks and includes contributions from The Roots’ Questlove, Q-Tip, and Kendra Foster (Parliament Funkadelic).

Of the album title, D’Angelo said, “For me the title is about all of us. It’s about the world. It’s about an idea we can all aspire to. We should all aspire to be a Black Messiah.”
