Multi-platinum Southern California alternative metal band P.O.D. has a new record label and a new sound. The band has signed with T-Boy Records and Universal Music Enterprises, and their first release under the new partnership will be the first unplugged album, titled SoCal Sessions .
Set to drop November 17, SoCal Sessions features 12 newly-recorded acoustic versions of some of P.O.D.'s biggest hits, including "Youth of the Nation" and "Alive." The album follows Sevendust 's Time Travelers & Bonfires , which was released early this year, as another all-unplugged album from a band known for their heavy riffs.
For P.O.D. fans who crave the their heavy, electric sound, the band has also announced they've begun writing their ninth studio album. The currently-untitled album of all new original songs will be released in 2015. P.O.D.'s last studio album was 2012's Murdered Love .
