Disturbed是由入选Hit Parader杂志『史上百大热门金属主唱』名单的光头David Draiman领军,加上技术高超的吉他手Dan Donegan、鼓手Mike Wengren及贝斯手Steve “Fuzz” Kmak(2004年换上前Nu-Metal/工业团The Union Underground的John Moyer)共同于芝加哥组建。2000年,发行首张勐碟“The Sickness”便获得英国权威摇滚杂志Kerrang!给予满分评价,虽然仅拿下美国告示牌第29名,却盘旋榜中长达103週之久,光在美国当地便突破4百万销售大关,敲启Disturbed的响亮名声!接着陆续推出“Believe”(2002)、“Ten Thousand Fists”(2005)、“Indestructible”(2008)、“Asylum”(2010),全数在专辑榜上登顶成功,并创下多达15首主流摇滚榜Top10单曲的风光佳绩!
就在David宣布Disturbed将无限期休团、2012也不举办巡迴演唱的消息释出之际,特别推出B-Sides精选特典“The Lost Children”,作为暂别的总回顾,稍稍安抚乐迷的心!此辑是由合作老搭档,也是葛莱美提名大师Johnny K (Megadeth、3 Doors Down、Staind)与Disturbed共同製作、选曲。第一主打「Hell」,依然生鲜勐劲,David保持刚出道时的爆破吼度,血脉贲张的摇滚气流紧紧包裹追随,爽快的令人大呼过瘾!“The Sickness”专辑的遗珠之选「A Welcome Burden」、「God Of The Mind」,随时一触即发、濒临崩溃的情绪清晰可见;电影【变形金刚】原声带中最狂的焦点「This Moment」也特别加收其中;为震惊美国社会的《西孟菲斯三人组(West Memphis Three)》凶杀桉件,以数位销售义唱、写满了愤怒与全力支持心意的「3」,也首度以实体销售方式现声;原收录在华纳唱片50周年纪念特辑“Covered, A Revolution In Sound”裡头的「Midlife Crisis」,则是翻唱Faith No More的1992年登记现代摇滚榜冠军单曲;最后奉上之「Living After Midnight」,重新诠释Judas Priest的致敬大作!

Other tracks on this B-side collection include “God of the Mind” and “A Welcome Burden,” which appeared on the 2010 reissue of the band’s 2000 debut album The Sickness; “Monster,” “Two Worlds,” and “Sickened,” which were included as bonus tracks on the UK tour edition of Ten Thousand Fists; “Run,” which was featured on a limited-edition version of 2008’s Indestructible; and “Parasite,” which appeared on the Japanese edition of Indestructible.
