“Drones” is the upcoming seventh studio album by English alternative rock band Muse. It’s produced by Robert John “Mutt” Lange and will be released on 8 June 2015 via Helium-3.

The album art is by American artist Matt Mahurin. The band plans to release the first taste of the album, a track called “Psycho” on 12 March 2015.

Talking with NME, frontman Matt Bellamy said:

"To me, ‘Drones’ are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors"

The lead single from the album is confirmed the opening track “Dead Inside“, scheduled to be released on 23 March.
