As previously reported, Record Store Day's Back to Black Friday event on November 29 will have labels rolling out exclusives from Bob Dylan, Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana and more. Now, you can add a new two-song 10-inch release from U2 to the pile.
A listing for the record notes that a brand new tune called "Ordinary Love" will feature on the A-side. The song was penned for the upcoming biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, which hits theatres November 29.
According to U2's website, the band are friends with the South African political figure, and they were inspired to write the track after seeing early cuts of the film. Actor Idris Elba stars as Mandela, and you can check out a trailer for the film, including portions of "Ordinary Love," down below.
The B-side features a newly re-recorded version of U2's "Breathe." The original version had appeared on the outfit's 2009 No Line on the Horizon. Though reports have come and gone about the band's next full-length, they have yet to confirm a follow-up.
